Along with the normal class of Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies, St. John the Baptist offers other academic classes.
Religion: “The greatest education is the knowledge of God.” While our students have class time for working on learning about our Catholic faith, they also experience that same faith in our weekly school mass, adoration, daily prayers and the examples set by our teaching staff.
Physical Education: Twice a week students learn about different activities and gross motor skills along with teamwork and the importance of being active! 'You miss all the shots you don't take!'
Spanish: 'Bienvenida a nuestra clase de español!' Students are taught age appropriate spanish by a native spanish speaking teacher.
Art: "The future belongs to young people with an education and the imagination to create." Our students are able to learn new ways to show their creative side along with learning techniques to help them create.
Music: My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.- Psalms 57:7 Music is taught twice along with the opportunity to sing at masses.
Band: Band is offered as an elective for students in grades 4-8. Students have a weekly lesson along with performing at school concerts.
Technology: In the computer lab, students learn how to use technology responsibly along with ways it can help them in school and beyond. “Technology is not an event. It’s just part of everyday learning!”
