On Friday, the gym at St. John the Baptist Catholic School turn from sports to perfoming arts. There were a wide vareity of talents that were showcased.
We started out with a piano solo of "It's a Small World" by Kolbe. What a great reminder we are all connected. Orion had on his light up roller blades and dazzled us with some of his roller skating moves. We moved back to music with an original clarinet piece peformed by Max. SJB music band program is free except for instramental rental, and clearly we have some talented students.
Madelyn got us all clapping the beat to "Can't Stop this Feeling" from the Trolls movie, while she danced away. She clearly had her dancing shoes on. Our wondeful 4th grade girls came together to do a little karaoke with "This is Amazing Grace". Before a short break, we had Nathan come up to tell some jokes. He was clearly well prepared and had some side-splitting laughs.
Venturing away from music, we had Claire show us she could cut an onion without dropping a tear. Eleanor ate that onion without any troubles.
While the onion was cleaned up, Adelynn played "Box of Chocolate" on the piano before Aubrey showed us how to sew a rice ice pack.
Our final number was that of our middle school girls dancing to "Dancing in the Dark" while they were blacked out excpet for glow sticks. It was a great way to end a fun afternoon.
